9/2/11: ComScientific acquires DRACO Engineering, Inc.

After a substantial long-term teaming relationship, DRACO Engineering, Inc. of Portsmouth RI was acquired by ComScientific.  Originally founded in 1986, DRACO brings a variety of mature professional engineering and management services capability to ComScientific in support of its DOD and industry customers; with demonstrated expertise in design, development, integration, production and support of military and industrial applications in fiber-optic submarine hull penetration, fiber-optic connectivity and link engineering, electrical assembly and wiring engineering, RF systems and cable assembly test, high resolution video acquisition, image capture and processing and software engineering and integration.

Integrating the DRACO capabilities and past performance experiences into the ComScientific organization builds upon the solutions dynamic we are able to offer; and ensures our ability to continue to meet both the existing and emerging challenges and needs of our DOD and industry customers.              .          

ComScientific relocates offices to research and technology HUBZone: 
  • Communications Scientific International, Inc. an engineering, technology and technical services company providing satellite, airborne, and ship/shore support to the Department of Defense and industry, has relocated its offices and development facilities to 5523 Research Park Drive. The move locates the small technology business to the bwTech Research & Technology Park community where synergy can be built through partnership with the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and many of the other leading technology companies located there for applied research and development, and product and technical services innovation focused on DOD and industry customer needs.      .
